History Cruise "Commerce and Conflict on the Connecticut River in early Colonial days" aboard RiverQuest
Journalist and Connecticut historian Erik Hesselberg will entertain passengers with a lively talk during a cruise on the lower Connecticut River. Hesselberg has spent a decade researching the early history of the river for a book in progress. He is a regular contributor to the Hartford Courant and President of the Middlesex County Historical Society. He will speak of the early, mysterious, almost legendary period of the first Dutch and English settlements and the friends and enemies they made among the native peoples. The journey on the river will encompass parts of the towns of Haddam, East Haddam, Chester and Lyme. Depart from Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam. Light apps will be provided. Full Moon Spring Foliage Sunset Cruise
Join us aboard RiverQuest and take a relaxing evening cruise to enjoy the FULL MOON and SPRING FOLIAGE and SUNSET on the lower Connecticut River, departure from Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam. This will be a cruise to no where, timed so that, weather permitting, we will see the full moon rise. We will also see the beautiful hues of the spring foliage and the beauty of the river at twilight. Fall Foliage Cruises
Join us aboard RiverQuest for our Fall Foliage Cruises.
The foliage begins to change in late September and there will be color all through October.
On our regularly scheduled 90 minute Gillette Castle Viewing Daytime Cruises, we will cruise a little north and then south, where you will also see the changing foliage on the many varieties of trees along the lower Connecticut River.
Time: Wednesday and Thursday: 11:30am. Friday: 1:30pm.
Cost: $20 adults, $15 children. On Wednesday and Thursday 11:30am the cost is $18pp for seniors (over 60).
We are offering different times on the weekends this October. On this scheduled one hour Gillette Castle Viewing Daytime Cruise, we will cruise south, where you will see the changing foliage on many varieties of trees along the river.
Time: Saturday and Sunday: 12:30pm and also at 2:00pm

Southbound Foliage Cruise on ADVENTURE
Come aboard our newest addition to the fleet! After 12 years of hard work, Connecticut River Expeditions is proud to have it's newest addition to the fleet in operation. ADVENTURE has been cruising on some nice Private Charters and we thought it would be great to offer our passengers an cruise to see the Foliage.
This cruise is a lightly narrated, casual, relaxing cruise on the lower Connecticut River, an area know as “one of the last great places”. We will cruise south on this cruise to view the colors of the changing leaves and also learn about local history, flora and fauna (possibly see one or more of our resident Bald Eagles). We will get perfect views from ADVENTURE's open decks. Feel free to bring along a picnic and your "favorite beverage".
Cost is $40pp.
This is a small group experience and space limited.
NOTE: Adventure is not handicap accessible.
Adventure is docked at Dock #3, parking Lot #3. Drive the farthest in!

Earth Day One Hour Cruise
Love your earth and the beautiful Connecticut River!
This is a special 60 minute cruise in celebration of Earth Day for only $10, all ages! We will cruise north up to the Salmon River and then south to view Gillette Castle to see how healthy the Connecticut River is due to the Clean Water Act of 1972, the many organizations that protect the river and the many other regulations put in place so we can all enjoy clean water, air and life! Depart from Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam.
Cruise Date/times: April 22 at 12:00pm and 3:30pm
Spring Osprey/Eagle Cruise
On this about 2+ hour cruise, we will see at least one of our resident Bald Eagle's nests along with our favorite returning Ospreys. We will depart from our dock at Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam in search of Ospreys and eagles and whatever other wildlife we can find. We will pass fairly close to the Goodspeed Eagle's Nest, where we hope to catch a glimpse of the eagles near the nest. As we head south towards Essex, we'll point out other areas of interest, including Gillette's Castle. Most of our ospreys will be nesting or working on their nests. All the platforms and day markers will eventually have an Osprey nest. We'll tell you all about the local wildlife we will see along with lots of other interesting stuff! Enjoy this beautiful river! Complimentary Coffee and tea onboard. Cost is $40 per passenger. Due to the length of this cruise, no children under 10 please.
